About me...
I am a compassionate, down to earth, dedicated, and experienced Clinical Psychologist. I am passionate about supporting others to engage with psychological therapy and learn more about psychological interventions to help themselves become more aware, more empowered and more compassionate to themselves and others.
I have always loved working with people and I honestly believe it is a privilege to hear other people's stories, meet them where they are and help them hold the weight of their distress. In therapy, together, we can try and find ways to make sense of things and make things feel easier where we can.
I obtained an undergraduate degree in Applied Social Psychology (BSc) in 2007 from the University of Kent.

I have gained invaluable experience working across a range of mental health services within the NHS from 2008-2026; including inpatient settings, community settings, home treatment teams, memory assessment services, care home settings and within older adult speciality services.
I obtained a Doctorate in Clinical Psychology in 2015 from the University of Sheffield.
Over the past 10 years, since completing my Clinical Doctorate, I have worked as a qualified Clinical Psychologist within the NHS, supporting individuals with mental health difficulties and individuals undergoing dementia assessments. In addition to this, I have offered subsequent post-diagnostic support and facilitated dementia activist groups to empower people with dementia to continue to live well.
Coping with transitions and loss
I have specialist experience working with older adults, adjusting to later life stages and changes such as retirement, changes in health, loss and grief.
I have worked with many individuals who, when facing later chapters in their life, were struggling to find meaning and purpose, perhaps facing changes to life long roles, their physical health or less access to their life long coping strategies.
Working through trauma
I have many years experience supporting individuals with gently exploring and processing experiences of trauma, that they may have carried the weight of through their lives.
Safely, at your pace, I can help you to learn and develop skills and knowledge to build up a greater sense of safety, work towards reducing shame and try to find more peace.
If you are looking to explore your past experiences, together, we can create a space that feels safe enough to share your experiences, what has happened to you, and how this shaped your life and your sense of self.
Dementia Care; Post Diagnostic Support and understanding complex changing needs and behaviours
I also have specialist experience supporting people living with dementia and their families. I can offer you support to explore this diagnosis, what it means to you and the impact it has had. I can work alongside you to think about how you adjust and continue to live well with dementia.
I can work with families and friends to build a greater understanding around dementia and support them to consider what this looks like in your life, for you as an individual and your loved ones.
Together we can find and shape strategies to help you to continue to live with dignity, respect and compassion.
It is important to note that I cannot offer private assessments for dementia, diagnose a person with dementia or prescribe medication for a person with dementia.
