Clinical Psychologist in Canterbury - offering individual therapy in person and online
Dr Carolyn Soper-Tilbrook
Welcome. I'm Carolyn, a Clinical Psychologist based in Canterbury, East Kent with nearly 20 years experience working in mental health services across the NHS.
Life feels heavy and complicated sometimes.
I'm really sorry if life has been feeling hard and painful for you.
When negative or stressful things happen in our lives, it can leave us feeling vulnerable, unable to relax and on guard, worrying about the future.

It can feel frightening when our inner world, or the communities around us, start to feel unsafe or unpredictable.
If you're having a tough time at the moment, there will be reasons for this that make sense, even if you cannot name them right now. It's OK. We're human and we were built with questioning, busy minds. Sometimes this can lead to creativity, problem solving and even masterpieces, but sometimes it can also lead to things feeling messy and overwhelming.
